Andrey Santos se tornou o jogador do Vasco mais cobiçado no mercado da bola. Aos 18 anos, o meio-campista é visto com grande potencial e vem sendo acompanhado de perto por vários clubes. Recentemente, o Cruz-maltino recebeu ofertas do Bournemouth, da Inglaterra, e do Lyon, da França, e recusou prontamente. O assédio não para por aí e o Newcastle, também da Inglaterra, se prepara para formalizar uma proposta pelo jogador. A notícia foi trazida primeiramente pelo GE e confirmada pela GOAL.

A postura do Vasco, no entanto, não deve mudar. Segundo sabe a GOAL, o clube vê enorme potencial em Andrey e quer mantê-lo por mais tempo. Por isso, a tendência é recusar a proposta dos ingleses. Vale ressaltar que a janela de transferências para o futebol inglês está fechada neste momento e mesmo que tope fazer negócio, o jogador só poderia se transferir a partir de janeiro.

A ideia do Vasco é que Andrey se torne a venda mais cara da história do clube, superando Paulinho, vendido ao Bayer Leverkusen, da Alemanha, por 20 milhões de euros, em abril de 2018. Na última segunda-feira (05), a diretoria cruz-maltina anunciou que chegou a um acordo pela renovação de contrato com o meio-campista, que deve ser assinado até o final de semana.

O novo acordo será válido até 2027 e Andrey Santos terá uma multa no valor de 50 milhões de euros (R$ 260 milhões na cotação atual). Para clubes do Brasil, a multa será em torno dos R$ 350 milhões. Recentemente, pela demora em acertar a renovação com o Vasco, algumas equipes do futebol brasileiro consultaram a situação do jogador.

Titular absoluto do Vasco, Andrey está cheio de moral com a torcida. Ele é considerado peça chave na briga por uma vaga de volta à Série A do Campeonato Brasileiro e já soma cinco gols marcados na campanha da equipe na Série B.
