Jorginho não será o treinador do Vasco em 2023. Em reunião nesta quarta, o treinador foi comunicado pelo diretor Paulo Bracks que não terá o contrato renovado para a próxima temporada.
Com Jorginho, deixam o Vasco os auxiliares Joelton Urtiga e Bebeto Sauthier. Os dois chegaram ao clube juntos com o treinador, no início de setembro.
Com a saída de Jorginho, o Vasco busca um novo treinador para 2023. Juan Pablo Vojvoda é muito bem avaliado internamente e é um nome que interessa. Ele tem contrato com o Fortaleza até o fim do ano.
Jorginho chegou ao Vasco no início de setembro com a missão de levar o clube ao acesso em 10 jogos e conseguiu na última rodada, na vitória por 1 a 0 sobre o Ituano, fora de casa. Ao todo, foram cinco vitórias, dois empates e três derrotas – 56,6% de aproveitamento.
