Já o Palmeiras teve compromisso no último final de semana, quando eliminou o Ibrachina nos pênaltis e avançou para as semifinais do Campeonato Paulista da categoria.
No Campeonato Brasileiro sub-17, as 20 equipes foram divididas em dois grupos de dez times cada. Na primeira fase, os clubes se enfrentaram dentro do grupo e os quatro melhores classificados de cada chave avançaram para a fase de mata-mata.
