As partidas da Copa do Mundo do Catar serão exibidas para o Brasil pelo grupo Globo de TV. Parte das transmissões será feita em TV aberta, como a abertura da maior competição que o planeta já viu, a Copa do Mundo do Catar. Também os jogos do Brasil serão televisionados ao vivo para toda a rede Globo. Por outro lado, TODOS os jogos da Copa serão transmitidos pelos canais SPORTV, em canal fechado.
O SPORTV, inclusive, preparou uma cobertura completa com mais canais ao vivo. Serão 4 canais na TV fechada, que transmitirão todas as partidas da Copa do Mundo do Catar. O MRNews e Maá Agora, sites do mesmo grupo também fará uma cobertura completa dos jogos com as narrações, escalações e palpites das partidas.

São 32 seleções dividias em 8 grupos de 4 clubes. Os grupos foram definidos usando critérios da FIFA, para evitar confronto de países da mesma região e mais bem colocados no Ranking da Fifa logo na primeira fase. Claro, não foi possível evitar todos os confrontos de grandes seleções e alguns grupos são considerados grupos da morte. O Brasil pegou três adversários bem conhecidos, que já enfrentou em copas passadas e recentes. Os favoritos desta copa são Brasil, FRança, Alemanha, Holanda, Argentina e Inglaterra, mas seleções como Dinamarca, Hungria, Espanha, Bélgica e Portugal podem dar trabalho.
